I was a paying guest who called the front desk before 11a.m. If the Legacy "Resort" hires and promotes rude, combative, prejudiced, discriminatory, incompetent managers and allows them to mistreat guests with impunity, then they are culpable. I cannot in good conscience give this "resort" stars because a business is only as good as its worst employee and this hotel's worst employee is a manager named Stephanie. The Director of Operations, Anthony Muniz, is incapable of holding his employees accountable for their horrific conduct. The hotel interior design and location are desirable. The entrance of the hotel is good and makes it easy to pick up an Uber and head into San Diego. There was adequate parking and you need to pick a pass up from reception. We didn’t dine at the restaurant but there is one onsite. Everything appeared clean and we regularly saw the staff cleaning the pool. A reasonable size pool and large jacuzzi. We did use the swimming pool during our stay and this was great as we had it to ourselves. We also had a lovely poolside view and a small balcony with seating outside which was blissful in the late afternoon heat. There was also coffee and tea facilities and some bottles of water left in the fridge. We then had two large double beds and a comfy chair to stretch out into. We had a separate area in the room for toilet and shower and then a big vanity area with sink and mirror. The hotel smells nice which is always a bonus and this is in the corridors also with air conditioning which was welcomed with the heatwave that was going on. We were given a room on the second floor and the room was massive. We arrived and checked in and were dealt with quickly. We stayed here for three nights whilst exploring San Diego. Because we actually came back, they upgraded our room for free and gave us discounted parking which made up for our bad experience at the other hotel, and the unneeded stress it caused us. We enjoyed our stay regardless, and it was very clean and updated like I stated, which is our top priorities when looking for/ staying at a hotel. My only complaints are the really slow free wifi, the water pressure would suddenly drop in the shower but come back within a second or 2, and the really strong perfume smell in the hallways, but I didn't think they were using it to cover up an odor which is good, just using it as a nice smell. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We left after 3 nights for the next hotel (that ended up being absolutely horrible) so we ended up coming back the same day and checking in for 2 more nights. I'm going to start of by saying we actually checked back into this hotel, so that should say a lot.
